Just when we thought that the random dating advice was over... it began again.
Last week one of my kids was on the playground and then she stood on top of a playground tire and declared:
"Miss Anya! You need to find a boyfriend!"
"Thanks. I'm working on that."
"Well, let me give you some subjects about that... I'm going to write them down"
*exit 8-year old child*
--that was really random. She disappeared for a while and then returned with a small pile of sticky notes. If I had a scanner I would totally scan them in, but since I don't, my transposing with have to suffice. I will spell the words as they are... which might kill me, but it will help set the tone. The following is my dating advice as written by an 8-year-old girl.
Subjects for a guy to:Anya
- were: lots of makeup, and lots of purfume and get Strawberry rush and were (dark) red lipstick
- exspres your self and like him for who he is oh and while dateing you can't talk with food in you mouth
- be nice never say rude things if he cheets on you move on
- but before you go on a date you have to like him and he has to like you then you can ask him to go on a date
1. As far as I have been told, I already wear plenty of makeup. Strawberry rush, as I have been informed, is a lotion at Victoria's secret, and the times I have ever worn dark red lipstick I have been told it is "too much". I love perfume, but I'm out of my favorite one. She told me I had to buy some "today" but I think I will wait until I feel like it is a necessary expense.
2.If I like you, it is usually because I like you for who you are... there are no hidden motives. Also, not that I tend to talk with food in my mouth, but you might have noticed that this last bit of #2 is contradictory to what the 5-year old said.
3. I am generally nice, in my opinion, but if I do say something rude it doesn't usually take me too long to take it back... and you bet if you cheat on me I'm going to move on.
4. Due to past experiences it is going to be a VERY RARE occasion that I ask someone on a date. I would have to really feel like taking a risk, but being able to stand each other beforehand would be nice... but not always foreseen.
So there you have it. I promise to stop blogging about this, but I might be considered selfish if I kept such wisdom to myself :)
(Also: My roommate informed me that I left out of my blog that the 5-year-old from the last post also enlightened me as to the name of my "boyfriend", however I'm going to choose to leave it unblogged)

there are some things that the blogosphere simply isn't ready for.
HAHA! I love this... so classic. What's SAD though is that an eight year-old girl is saying something about being cheated on - Um... WHAT THE?!?! Yea. Sad.
REALLY classic though... haha! You could write a book about these experiences.
*muah*
