Life's Playlist

One day my father pulled up my blog...and realized he hadn't visited in a while. As he got busy reading a lot of the other blogs that are posted to the left, he kept my blog open so the playlist would play. My sister kept asking "Hey, who's this?" and found herself pleasantly surprised. I specifically remember that there was something like Josh Groban playing and then the song ended and shuffled straight to Kanye West. My sister immediately looked at me and said "What the crap?" I think she was referring to the change in rhythm and bass. The playlist had thrown her a curve ball, something she least expected.

Why am I telling you this? Well, on Friday when I ended up with an unforeseen trip to the hospital and 6 staples in my head (long-ish story that I will spare you along with the gory photos. I'm fine.), I remembered this occurrence and instantly thought about how life is a playlist. Just when we feel like there is a great song playing, life goes ahead and throws us a little Kanye. It doesn't necessarily mean it is horrible, just not what we were expecting. We learn to adapt. My class at work adapted just fine (minus some whining) to the idea of watching a movie instead of a Luau at the park, (which I ruined "Miss Anya why did you have to do that to yourself on Luau day?") I will adapt to having staples in my head until they take them out, and then I'll keep going along until the next unanticipated event takes place.

With that said... if my playlist throws you a little Kanye... embrace it or adapt.

Good thing I like Kanye, cause I think I get it a lot. :)
*muah*

P.S. I know you spared the gory details, but... yea. I hope you really are fine.
