I wish...

I wish that I could show you how the sky looked as it touched the ocean when the sun rose in Spain; and likewise, the way it looked when the sun set.
I wish you could see the faces of the boys as they did fancy jumps into the water.
I you could see how the waves came into the beach, and the surfers that rode them in.
I wish I could show you a picture of Africa from the most southern point in Spain.
I wish I could show you how Nico and I surfed on the sand.
I wish I could show you the footprints left by happy beach-walking feet.
I wish you could see how the boys looked in their Halloween costumes.
I wish I could show you the ins and outs of Barcelona.
I wish I could take out my memory and put it on the table for you, so you can see what I saw.
I wish that people were honest, and I wish I could withstand having a puke-like substance dumped on me, dripping through my hair and all over my clothes and backpack in a successful attempt to rob me of my most favorite worldly possession.

Yes. It is true. I have been stripped of over 250 photos of Spain. I was sad. I cried. Perhaps the man (men) who took it are aspiring photographers that just never had a good enough camera to reach their full potential... I doubt that.

Well, that is a good 2.5 kilos I don´t have to pack home.

Let this be a lesson to you. If someone pours a puke-like substance on you, resist all urge to make yourself clean and keep a TIGHT grip on your stuff while you do it. Better yet, I like my brother´s advice... I should have given him a taste of his own medicine... and puked back.
